Crafting a Seamless Digital Future

Robert Half Website Renovation

Role
Experience Architecture & Operational Lead

Year
2021 – 2024

  • Outdated Platform Infrastructure. The legacy platform no longer supported business needs or modern enhancements. Slow build times and instability were hindering progress and limiting scalability.
  • User Confusion Around Services. Customers frequently selected the wrong services when submitting requests, leading to high volumes of support calls and a lack of clarity around offerings and value.
  • Complex, Inefficient User Experience
The site featured long, detailed service descriptions, fragmented navigation that shifted based on content, and overly complex user flows. Tasks were difficult to complete without prior knowledge of services, leading to user frustration and drop-off.

Accomplishments

  • Modern, User-Centered Redesign. Delivered a refreshed visual design paired with a simplified information architecture. Strong visual cues and content organization now create clear distinctions between services and supporting content—improving comprehension and ease of use.
  • Streamlined Navigation & Flows. Consolidated navigation into intuitive pathways focused on what users need most. Calls to action are now clearly aligned with user intent, reducing confusion and improving task completion rates.
  • Accelerated Design & Development. Established a scalable design framework that reduced design and development time by 40–70% for new content pages and marketing campaigns—enabling faster go-to-market for business initiatives.

Modern, simple design showcasing partnership and value exchange.

Restructured Key Content Areas & User Flows

  • Information Architecture Strategy. Directed the complete restructuring of the site’s information architecture. I facilitated close collaboration with a design agency and ensured alignment with business strategy, usability research, and company-wide experience goals.
  • Executive Partnership for Finalization. Worked directly with senior leadership to refine and approve a consolidated IA model, resulting in a 20% faster path to critical content and smoother navigation for users across the site.
  • Simplified Navigation & Language. Reduced cognitive load by replacing complex, paragraph-heavy content with focused, scannable sections—using plain language, clear headings, and bullet points to enhance readability and comprehension.
  • Streamlined User Flows. Merged fragmented pathways into unified 5–7 step user flows, cutting development time by 35%, reducing QA/testing by 40%, and eliminating 90% of flow inconsistencies. This optimization not only improved user experience but also reduced effort for customer service, design, and engineering teams supporting the global platform.

Modular Design, System Thinking

  • Modular Design Strategy. We restructured the site’s information architecture to surface reusable, modular layout patterns. Collaborating with both our internal design team and an external agency, I led the strategy to implement a modular system—designed to accelerate future builds and empower non-technical content authors in the CMS.
  • Needs-Driven Template Development. We conducted a focused evaluation to identify the most critical content types. From there, we defined high-priority templates and broke them down into flexible layout components that the design team could execute efficiently.
  • Scalable Systems Thinking. I led the team to adopt a block-based, interchangeable layout mindset, encouraging flexibility, scalability, and consistency. We prioritized high-impact solutions and iterated on variants to maximize reuse across different page types and business needs.
  • Design Language System & Component Library. To ensure long-term value, I championed and initiated the creation of an agnostic design system and enterprise-ready component library. This system not only supported the current site build but also provided a scalable foundation for other teams and future projects across the organization. One Vision, Thousands of Pages

  • Cross-Team Collaboration. To coordinate input from Design, SEO, Marketing, Content, Translation, and PM teams, I established a real-time, collaborative workflow using shared templates and clear processes—ensuring alignment and speed across all contributors.
  • Global-Ready Design. I led the design vetting process to ensure layouts worked seamlessly across languages and regions, from long German compound words to compact Chinese characters—while restructuring team operations to support global time zones.
  • Scaled Organization & Workflow. With over 50 people contributing, I implemented structured file naming, ticket tracking, and shared communication channels to maintain clarity, prioritize tasks, and support smooth hand-offs at scale.
